Intro & New Features
New to 2024 is the Bauer Vapor HyperLite2 Senior Chest & Arm Protector - THS Spec. It features traditional HyperLite 2 specs, but with a few different options. With beefier shoulders, Bauer Supreme Mach arms, and different arm sizes, the THS Spec HyperLite2 has a more customizable fit and feel. Available in black and a variety of sizes, feel free to come in-store and try it on or call online and ask about sizing.
External Material
The HyperLite 2 chest protector combines a variety of high-quality materials such as leather and advanced nylons to increase abrasion resistance. The chest protector uses a Thermocore Zero liner in the spinal area and a Hypersense liner in the arms for pro-level comfort. Thermocore Zero liner is lighter and more breathable than liners used previously, and Hypersense is specially designed with high-performance material and intended to enhance the overall comfort and fit of the equipment.
Internal Construction
The majority of foams in the HyperLite 2 are made up of Shocklite and Fusecomp for elite-level protection. The beefier shoulder and torso section features more foam for higher level of protection and comfort.
Shoulder Caps
The HyperLite's shoulders are crafted with Shock-Lite Pro construction, offering superior impact protection and absorption. Shocklite is designed to provide a lightweight and flexible layer of protection that helps to absorb and disperse the impact of incoming shots and rebounds. Having the beefier shoulder, allows for more protection while facing shots and on the ice.
Arm Protection
Fusecomp Technology has been used to build the arms of the HyperLite 2; this tech involves fusing multiple layers of foam and plastics together into a single, thin layer. The result is more efficient energy absorption, reducing the amount of force felt by the goaltender during impacts.
This chest protector features Bauer Supreme Mach arms. The velcro-adjustable arms allow you to customize the arms to your specific fit. The addition of Mach arms in this chest protector allows more flexibility, as the arms incorporate the AMP 2.0 design, a hinge system that moves with you while you play which ensures you're fully covered throughout the game without compromising protection.
Colors & Customization
The HyperLite2 Senior Chest & Arm Protector (THS Spec) is available in black with red accents and in sizes S-XL, with the arms one size smaller than the chest protector size (except small). This different arm sizing allows for a more custom and personalized fit.
